I'm 37 now, this film many times when I was boy. It made me tearful recently by the time it got this scene, such a magical and beautiful peace of art this film is. Very close to my heart still. This movie shows far more of the deal and of oz is a rich and deeply detailed world on the same level with such places as middle earth and Narnia. I like that the girl who was ozma in the books. A true princess. Aww, Jack is so adorable. Xd "mom my real mom o_o. . * faint" poor thing i really need to see this film in its entire. D: such a beautiful scene. I haven't seen this in years. I remember being in love with ozma as a child. Xd. The oz books by l frank Baum are the best kept secret in American literature!if you are not familiar with these wonderful books, you have no idea you've been missing how many boys here grew up "in love with ozma" and don't know that in her story, she is magically transformed into a boy for most of her childhood. Ozma was my trans awakening. Screw Disney for taking away her true story. This movie got so much backlash, because it wasn't like the famous, exalted mgm wizard of oz with Judy garland.. i mean, sure, there's no garland in this, singing, or even toro...but this movie has so much cinematic esthetics to offer, and a much more dramatic undertone which I'm sure is more connected to the books. I love the mgm version,and drorothy will always be Jody garland but this sequel is a classic in its own right. One of my favorite scenes in the movie. I shipped them so much when I was 7 years old I'm so happy now that i read the books and they are married in them. Okay i know they never say they do make out 💋 a lot and ozma makes Dorothy a princess 👑 and they share a bedroom together.

Fairuza Balk was a perfect Dorothy. Not putting down Judy Garland's iconic performance of course, but Fairuza embodied her perfectly.

I think Ozma represented Death because it is entirely possible she was the ghost of the girl who saved Dorothy. And Dorothy returning home could possibly be her returning to the mortal world rather than remain in the afterlife like Harry in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Oaky, I have a theory. In this film, they explain that Ozma's father was king of Oz before the wizard came. In the movie "Oz the great and powerful," they say the same thing about Glinda's father. My question is, that does anyone think that Ozma and Glinda are sisters?
